Holly has been working as an Additional Learning Support Tutor since joining the college in 2015. During her time at HCA, she has completed a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/ Specific Learning Difficulties and has now enrolled on the Level 7 Assessing and Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/ Specific Learning Difficulties.
Holly studied a BA Hons in English Literature and History at Liverpool John Moore’s University before moving to Herefordshire to pursue a career in education. Before completing her PGCE in Secondary English, she worked with learners with a range of physical and learning disabilities. Since qualifying as a teacher she has worked with learners in compulsory and further education as well as in support roles with adult learners.
As her specialism is in English and Literature, Holly thoroughly enjoys working in an Arts environment and has a keen interest in supporting learners to develop Literacy skills to aid them in their wider life.
Holly is also a published author and has had an academic article entitled Subject Pedagogy published in the Autumn 2010 publication of Query, an academic journal for The Robert Owen Consortium.
