Ella joined HCA as a staff member in 2016 after completing her degree in Contemporary Design Crafts in 2015. HCA has a special place in her heart and she loves working with so many talented, enthusiastic people (both staff and students) who just want to share their creativity and skills – while having some fun along the way!
She has her own creative practice which she runs alongside her time at HCA, designing furniture, homewares and contemporary jewellery. She is inspired by materials, process, colour and composition. She aims to make good quality, long lasting items that add a pop of colour to people’s day and in turn hopefully brighten their mood. She has exhibited across the country in both crafts fairs and gallery exhibitions, selling work to individuals as well as companies such as Paul Smith. She has also had work in various creative publications including Craft Magazine.
She is currently undertaking a PGCLTHE to help develop her professional career within education.
When she isn’t working, designing, or making she enjoys exploring the countryside around Herefordshire and beyond with her cockapoo, Ajax.
