Year 11 Information Day

Today we welcomed a whole bunch of creative Year 11s from schools all over the county into the college for our annual Year 11 Information Day. They had a tour of the College and our workshops before choosing a taster session to get involved in.

Our creative arts students had a fantastic range of workshops available to them including painting & drawing, screen printing, book binding and animation. It looked like they were having a great time getting creative and experimenting with new skills.

The music group had the chance to join in and jam with an HCA student band. We had four bands on the go with four different genres of music. And the performing arts group had a fab time learning some new techniques and making new friends. A fantastic day all round!

The year 11 info day is a great oppurtunity for any student thinking about persuing a career in the creative arts to come along, try out some new techniques, get a feel for the College and see if its the right thing for them after their GCSE’s.
