Working with Schools

Hereford College of Arts has strong links with local and regional secondary schools in supporting the delivery of vocational and work-related creative learning opportunities for 12 - 16 year olds. We also work closely with local Primary Schools introducing new creative arts skills at Key Stage 1 and 2.

Due to the specialist nature of the College - the only specialist art, design, music and performing arts College in the West Midlands - we are able to offer a wealth of experience from our staff, the majority of whom are practicing artists, designers or performers in their own right.

As well as our very popular Spring and Summer workshops, the College offers a wide range of other opportunities for both teachers and students. You can find out more by clicking on your area of interest.

We have a new programme of CPD workshops for teachers in Dance and Art & Design at Secondary and Primary School level, delivered by specialist tutors and practitioners here at Hereford College of Arts, they are designed to help teachers gain new transferable skills which can be delivered to students in the classroom.

Staff and students from across the county are also welcome to attend the annual Three College Open Day for Year 10 students and our Years 9 and 11 Taster Days.

You can keep up to date with what the team are up to on the Schools & College Activities blog.
