This week in the workshops Nicky Lillie (CDC level 6) has been sampling different effects with metal; her inspiration has come from looking in detail at out buildings, barns and other slightly unloved structures. As a result she has begun to look at altering the surface of the metal to produce folded and corrugated effects.
Nicky and Ian B spent a day in the 3D workshop making a tool from plate steel and welding rods to be used in the fly press to corrugate metal with stunning results.
