Every year we’re actively involved with exhibiting at the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths stand at the Royal Welsh Show and this year was no exception. There was a large exhibition space and workshop with forges for live competitions as part of the event and the exhibition was full of student and graduate work. It was also great to see the students take part in classes pitched against experienced professionals.

Laura Bradley, who graduated from the programme this summer, scooped all the major prizes with her well cover, winning the supreme championship along with a coveted Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths plaque.

Toby Forbes Gower scooped a first, with Douglas Hill and Rhodri Schelewa Davis both winning third prizes and Alex Sellar coming in fourth.

Well done and congratulations to all the students who participated and won!
