Illustration students visit GLUG – Birmingham

Second year Illustration students recently attended the latest GLUG spectacle as part of their Professional Practice module. The evening event held at Spotlight and Next-door venues in Digbeth, Birmingham on 10/3/2016 attracted 400 visitors and saw the packed crowd treated to presentations from  up and coming French illustrator Mary Lou Faure, creator and Editor-in-Chief of Intern Magazine, Alec Dudson and ace inventor of the classic ‘Hate Mail’ project Mr. Bingo explaining how to make a rap video (essential for all aspiring illustrators we think)
The students loved it, so we invited GLUG organiser and creative force behind INKY GOODNESS – Lisa Hassel to spend a few days with us to explain the role that IK play as part of the West Midlands ‘creative scene’. Lisa will meet up with our students again in London in November to help us chart our way through some of the more interesting agencies, studios and networks that the capital has to offer.
