The Final Countdown…

At the moment our students are working on projects that they have written and are realising independently.  We are excited to be only weeks away from the deadline for our Foundation Diploma and Portfolio students to complete their final major projects and submit their work for assessment and in preparation for a public exhibition to mark the third and final part of their course.

As well as high energy and intense industry, this time of year offers a period of reflection for all of our students. We asked them: “If you could go back in time and speak to yourself a year ago, at the point of applying for the Foundation Diploma Course, what would you say?”

“This course has prepared me for university study even more than I had anticipated. It helped fill in the big jump between A-level and Degree level. I now think very differently in terms of creating ideas because I have learnt there is no right or wrong answer.”

“Accepting my place on the Foundation Course is the best decision that I have ever made.  Although I was thinking of doing an academic course at university because I was worried that there aren’t any jobs in the Arts I took the place on the course to decide and the experience has opened my eyes to how many careers are Art based.  It has been a lot of fun and the facilities are fantastic, you have to definitely apply!”
