Successful Freelance Textile Designer Chloe Scadding delivered a superb lecture this week at Hereford College of Arts, primarily for the BA(Hons) Textile Design students, but I know a few others sneaked in for a listen. Chloe  is a highly creative mixed media designer combining a key commercial awareness with an innovative approach to textile processes.

Successful Freelance Textile Designer Chloe Scadding delivered a superb lecture this week at Hereford College of Arts, primarily for the BA(Hons) Textile Design students, but I know a few others sneaked in for a listen.

Chloe  is a highly creative mixed media designer combining a key commercial awareness with an innovative approach to textile processes. A graduate of Chelsea College of Art and a Texprint 2009 alumni, her versatile portfolio has been recognised for it’s distinctive style, creativity and innovation, and has gained a broad range of international clients.

Chloe currently works freelance; creating concept led designs for both high end and commercial markets in the fashion and home sectors. Clients include Alexander Wang, Etro, Calvin Klein, Armani, Tory Burch, Nike, DVF, Ralph Lauren Home, Donna Karan and Hugo Boss.

Chloe has also worked in design consultancy and lectures in BA(Hons)Textile Design. Selected as a top textile graduate for Texprint 2009 her work has been exhibited at Indigo Salon Paris, Interiors UK, London Design Festival and featured on WGSN Trend Forecasting, DesignMilk and numerous other trend sites.

Chloe works very closely with us here at Hereford College of Arts and shall be back later in the year to work with the 2nd and 3rd years on their Professional Practice.
