Forgive the pun but the latest addition to the 2015-16 Short Course Programme is proving popular with students. Covering design, techniques and plant care, students accomplish an arrangement to take home each week. These have varied from bouquets to themed designs, each one teaching new skills for students to build on at home and work towards achieveing their own goals.

The Art of Floristry looks likely to return in the spring term for a second course with tutor Yolanda Campbell and will compliment a programme packed with some great courses and workshops, including garden design for those keen to give some thought to their garden in time for the summer.

Continuing on a garden theme, spring 2016 will see the return of the Aspects of Gardens, a series of illustrated talks during March. These are always popular and delivered by renowned speakers and experts in their field, covering topics that explore garden history and design. To register to receive your copy of the programme in early 2016 please contact the short course team by email or telephone 01432 845302

Finally, for those who can’t wait until the spring we are delighted to also be welcoming The Great British Florist to the College on the 1st December to deliver a masterclass on wreath making for Christmas. Using flowers that are grown not flown, this promises to be a treat just in time for Christmas!
