Every year we organise exit interviews with a range of representatives of the creative industries for our graduating students of our BA (Hons) courses in Artist Blacksmithing, Contemporary Applied Arts and Jewellery Design.
Over two days, students have the opportunity to talk to at least five gallery owners, curators, arts officers and this is an awesome opportunity for students to practice talking about their work before the private view. Students get to practice talking about pricing and prices, and learn how to answer a range of challenging and provocative questions. The opportunity is mutually beneficial as many of gallery owners and curators select work for forthcoming exhibitions, so it’s a win-win situation for all.
This year I would really like to thank all of these people for their contribution; I know students really value this opportunity.
