Jake James Week : Designing

The plan is to design two sculptural pieces inspired by Jake James work and his approach to working with hot forged metal, connected to Hereford and designed by the students and Jake collaboratively, then set up forge teams with students from all year groups and go from initial designs to completed pieces within a week!

I always knew this was an ambitious idea but seeing these drawings develop over the afternoon the scale of the task ahead both excited and inspired us all and by the end of the afternoon Jake and the students had two designs completed so with metres of paper rolled up everyone headed off to the forge…

This is going to be an extraordinary week!
