Hay-on-Wye Documentary project – 15th March 2018

Published on 21.03.18

Every year we create a massive documentary project on one town on one day. This time it was Hay on Wye. One of the most quirky and independent minded communities anywhere. Hay is famous for its bookshops. There are more bookshops and in particular 2nd hand bookshops in Hay than anywhere else in the world!

Hay is famous for its bookshops. There are more bookshops and in particular 2nd hand bookshops in Hay than anywhere else in the world! Cool.

This was us on the day – BA Photography students were joined by students from Foundation and Portfolio – the more the merrier.

Next up will be the first Big Edit – after that its going to be hard work to narrow things down to just 36 images which will form our exhibition.

This year we are being joined by students from Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, USA who are doing the same project in an area of Pittsburgh. Can’t wait to see the results from both projects!
