Students from BA(Hons) Artist Blacksmithing and BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts courses recently visited the beautiful Quenington Old Rectory estate in Gloucestershire. Invited for tea and to explore the grounds, they had an opportunity to see first-hand the location of the 2015 Fresh Air sculpture exhibition, in anticipation of submitting their own proposals to the jury for consideration in the upcoming internationally recognized and acclaimed show.

Having had several works by students in the 2013 Fresh Air exhibition, this year marks the second occasion that HCA students have been invited to present their ideas for selection. If awarded space, the students gain remarkable exposure and clout as their works will be shown alongside some of the UK’s leading artists, and if the number of visitors to the exhibition resembles that of 2013, more than 18,000 visitors would see their work!

Here you have a sneak-peak of the area reserved for students from the college to exhibit, as well as a group shot of HCA’s travelling band of makers.
