Freezing cold and very windy, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the College’s #HCAfoodies who spent the weekend at the Flavours of Herefordshire Festival.

An early start Saturday and a prime position meant we were well placed to watch the official opening by Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood and then it was down to business – well call it business if you like but really it was hours of fun with some great children and their families, who visited the College’s stand and took part in our Big Draw and Stamp Art.

As the pictures show, creativity was running wild, the Big Draw saw children of all ages (and their parents!) adding a little something to the HCAfoodies masterpiece. Whilst not to be outdone, the Stamp Art Team, concocted some great foodie faces, using fruit and vegetable stamps made by #HCAfoodie Grace. The completed pictures were then hung up on our washing line to dry and form our very own Flavours Mini Exhibition.

Budding photographers were also encouraged to get their cameras or phones out and take images of food and share them via Facebook (facebook.com/herefordartscol), Twitter @HerefordArtsCol or Instragram (herefordarts) using the hashtag #HCAfoodies.

Passers by were also encouraged to take a quick snap on their phones of friends and family, using the College’s Photo Board depicting a friendly food fight!

So a very big thank you to all those who joined in, our staff had a great time, as did our student ambassadors, who got to engage and inspire many young artists who might one day, themselves, be a student ambassador for the College!
