Cutting Edge Exhibition

This year our First Year Artist Blacksmiths collaborated with students from BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts and Jewellery Design to stage a city centre exhibition. Cutting Edge was open from 1-7 June at the Old Market and exhibited the breadth of work produced by the students in the last term. The students worked independently to curate and design and make cardboard plinths.

There was an excellent social media presence in the run up to the show and they designed and printed hard copy flyers which could be found at all the major venues across the city. It was a fantastic experience and I am really looking forward to seeing how this cohort engages with the second year. I can certainly see lots more exhibitions and live briefs and fun ahead.
