Yesterday I ventured over to Fairfield High School for the afternoon to hold a Chemigram workshop with year 10. Chemigrams are an experimental art process where a photographic image is made by painting on photographic paper and the result resembles a watercolour painting. They are a great way of exploring traditional photographic methods in a contemporary practice, and a reminder that photography can be explored in many different ways.
Objects such as feathers, buttons and lace were used to create the beautiful imagery below.

The students were absolutely fantastic and created incredible experimental results that they can transfer across all aspects of their art coursework.
