Article Feature: Selected Journal

Selected is a biannual publication. This week saw the publication of the second Selected journal, and we are delighted that they have a ten-page feature on our degree in Artist Blacksmithing. How exciting when a magazine approaches you for an article!

They asked us to identify three of our rising stars, so I chose Christian Jones, who is in our third year and about to graduate; Gabe Chaille, who came from the States to study with us and is in his second year; and Sam Pearce, who graduated two years ago and has already set up and established his own business.

Dan Haworth-Salter, who works on our BA (Hons) Photography course, took some fabulous photographs for the article and each student/graduate contributed some text. The journal is beautifully designed and really focuses on developing a contemporary craft and design discourse. There are some excellent articles and a real focus on practitioners talking about their practice. I can strongly recommend it.
