How to put together virtual reality VR cardboard goggles

Once you’ve found a pair, put them together and check out one of our favourite 360 virtual reality experiences built for smarthphones.

Be sure to open it in your YouTube app and click the VR icon to toggle between standard and VR mode. You’ll need the split scene in order to experience it right in the goggles.

In addition to entertainment, virtual reality is being used in some really great digital media projects out there. For instance, it’s being used to help people play musical instruments, like in this amazing video FOVE: Eye Play The Piano.

Some of the best universities are offering virtual reality as part of their courses, including Ravensbourne’s BA (Hons) in Games Design and UAL Creative Computing Institute’s BSc in Creative Computing.

Get your first introduction to VR technology as part of HCA’s Level 3 Extended Diploma in Digital Futures and Interactive Media. Apply now or find out more during one of our upcoming open nights.
