The 2nd years are well under way with their Live Brief ‘Taking Wool in to the Future’ for Hereford Museum’s Wool Expo in July 2015.
Here is the work of Laurence Alder (images pilfered from his Instagram account!).
All the students are producing some stunning work where they are working with jumpers and materials to re-model, re-structure and re-fashion jumpers. Using a range of techniques from print, stitch, moulding, embossing the ideas are experimental and highly contemporary.
Alongside this they are engaging in the arguments about sustainability in fashion and textiles.
