“The MA course has given me the opportunity to pursue my interest in nature, heritage and folklore in a creative, supportive environment. Through research, tutorials, group critiques and guidance from experienced tutors; I have gained a greater knowledge and understanding of my subject which has enabled me to place my work in context with other contemporary artist/makers in the Slow Textiles Movement. The MA course offers lectures, seminars and free access to computer suites, workshops and libraries with opportunities to investigate an area of interest in a variety of different ways, with technical support if required. This experience has allowed me to build on previous knowledge and evolve into a more confident artist/maker with the ability to create original, contemporary, ecologically sound outcomes.“
