The deadline has now passed for our Young Artist Competition 2015, and we have had a positively overwhelming amount of entries from Young Artists from across the Country and even internationally!

This year we received over 695 entries, more than we have ever had before, and last week we were sorting through the phenomenal range of entries from 3D Sculptures, Paintings, Prints, Textiles to Sketches and many more.

We have invited Lizzie Harper, a Botanical and Scientific Illustrator from Hay-on-Wye, to help us with the judging for the three age categories. It will certainly be a challenge as we have received so many impressive entries!

We will be announcing the winners shortly after the Judging takes place, so keep an eye out on our blog pages and in the post to see if you are a winner! But of course we hope it goes with out saying that in our eyes, everyone is a winner!

As we’ve have so many fantastic entries we’ve had to rethink the exhibition completely as we really do want to showcase as many entries as we can.  So, we are going to delay the exhibition until after our Summer Show, (as was previously advertised on the flyer) so we can take over the College and have a very large and dedicated exhibition with its own Private View!  We are really excited about this and we’ll let you know via letter or email the dates these will take place.

All the work will be on display during the Summer Holidays and our Summer Holiday Workshops so you can come and see your work on display and try out one of our exciting workshops too.

A huge thank you to all entrants, all of the Art Teachers, and also a BIG thank you to Hereford Round Table for sponsoring the Competition.
