Jake James: Day 2 Forging Components

Today is Wednesday – Day 2 of forging . The aim is to complete both sculptures by the end of Friday, teams of first second and third years and focused on completing components,three graduates Matt Garton , Lee Pickard and Sam Pearce have also joined us for the week and are heading up some of the forge teams . Matt has just flown in from the States to be here having worked with Jake James as a for several months last year and Lee’s has also worked with Jake in Sydney . I am so moved by their commitment to give up their time to be involved in this week and am so excited that they’ll be two finished pieces of work that will stand as permanent reminder of the week – well I hope they’ll be finished …there’s a lot to do and the drawings are large scale, its going to be a full on and busy few days for certain
