Six of our Extended Diploma in Art & Design students took part in a project this year to record the journey of a group of Year 9 students from Hereford Academy as they found out what life was like in Herefordshire during the First World War.

WW1 Expo

As part of this Heritage Lottery funded project our students were involved in making a film to document the learning process and the history of various sites in Herefordshire during WW1. This informative film is now on display at Hereford Museum & Library alongside a wonderful exhibition of photographs, memoriabila, records and documents from WW1.

The exhibition is on display from 21st June – 8th November, Wednesday to Saturday 11am – 4pm. Admission is free.

Film Project

The film and selected photographs will also be on display at the Shire Hall from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 28th June as part of Hereford’s Armed Forces Day.

The Armed Forces Day in Hereford will reflect the county’s long and honoured military traditions and wil be focussed around the Shirehall and Cathedral Close. There will be displays, exhibitions, stalls, book signings and entertainment from our Extended Diploma in Perfmorming Arts students performing excerpts from ‘Oh what a lovely war’, Hereford Police Male Choir and The Regimental Band of The Royal Welsh.

There’s lots to see and do so we hope to see you all there!
