Last weekend the Courtyard hosted this year’s Hereford Contemporary Craft Fair and it was fantastic to see so many staff and graduates exhibiting.

Flying the flag of forged metal design we had Ambrose’s stand, which was a great opportunity for him to exhibit some new work, including some interior pieces. I particularly liked the large shelving unit that he had on display, exhibited alongside examples of his architectural ironwork that can be commissioned and some great photos of his work in situ.

Opposite his stand, Katie Wright, who graduated from Artist Blacksmithing in 2012 and who trades as Blacksmith Munro, had a stand full of interior pieces from ornate hooks and fire baskets, through to wall pieces. Katie set up her business whilst still studying with us and since graduating has successfully built her business and exhibited in galleries in the UK and as far away as San Francisco. She also works to commission and has completed a number of ambitious, architectural ironwork commissions from railings through to ornate staircases.
