The programme has an ongoing relationship with the Fresh Air sculpture show, which we are very proud of.  Fresh Air is a curated, biennial exhibition hosted by Lucy and David Abel-Smith at The Old Rectory, Quenington, Gloucestershire.  As part of their last three shows , they have invited our students to visit the site and generate proposals for works to be exhibited.  This is a great opportunity for the students selected, as Fresh Air is a very high profile sculpture show and the students will have an opportunity to exhibit alongside nationally and internationally recognised artists and sculptors.

When we visited, we were very pleased to have the opportunity to meet both with Lucy Abel-Smith and one of the key curators of the exhibition, Miranda Leonard.  The students had the opportunity to talk to the curator about her expectations and the brief, as well as see the student area and discuss the opportunities to make work in response to the site.

Miranda Leonard will be coming to the College in late March to view students proposals and select some works for the show.

More posts to follow.  The Fresh Air sculpture show opens on 11th June to 2nd July – check out www.freshairsculptureshow.com
