The 2nd Years have completed their exciting Exploration Module! Their first project in the 2nd year enables them to really explore and develop ideas, concepts, techniques in textile design with a view to them finding out who they are as a designer, what excites them, what motivates them so that they are able to get a much clearer idea about who they are as a designer.

Coupled with technical workshops in 3D, small metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, printmaking etc. they develop ideas of their own and generally ‘play’.

It is an incredibly valuable module for the 2nd years as it is a real opportunity for them to put in to practice all the skills learnt in the 1st year and push the boundaries.

As you can see, they have produced a diverse and extremely exciting body of work which they are now preparing to send off to the prestigious Bradford Textile Society Design Awards, an annual Award which all our 2nd years enter.

Watch this space for the results of the Awards! We are hoping for some good news very soon.
