An exciting BA (Hons) Graphic & Media Design Augmented Reality project connecting nature with technology

Third year students are engaged in an exciting Augmented Reality project connecting nature with technology, the project designed to encourage wider engagement with nature uses AR technology to trigger motion graphics and animations which tell stories and provide information about nature specifically in relation to a series of trees in Dinemoor Woods Hereford.

The Project is European in origin and connects with a similar project running in Iceland

Digitally Engaged Nature Project (DEN)

‘This is a pioneering Biophilic art action research, artist commissioning, engagement and exhibition program. We want to bring the screen into play in the wood, we want young people to find the hidden DEN maker in themselves, we want to build tomorrow citizens today.’ Jamie Jackson- project leader.
