Max Anderson graduated from BA(Hons) Artist Blacksmithing two years ago and since then has worked various forged metal workshops both nationally and internationally he’s currently working with Mark Pearce of  Mystic Forge they make anything from elaborate gates and church furniture, to staircases and interior furniture in the Big Hill Country, North West of Calgary, Alberta.

On the weekend I picked up these pictures on social media its of one of their latest jobs , Mark says:

“Just completed this 900 degrees 4 story stair case for a McKinley Masters client. Always a treat to be involved with this builder and design team.
The railing is quite delicate and whimsical compared to our usual forgings but the challenge was in the 27″ radius over 4 floors. Many pitch changes but no radius change Thanks to Maxwell Anderson our transplanted British blacksmith over here in Calgary as he was front and centre on the project……”

It’s great to hear that Max’s getting on so well , this is a fabulous piece of work – great photos.
