Marketing Communications Producer

Full Time (37 hours per week)
£21,777 - £24,713 per annum

We have a mission to empower creativity and enrich our world through transformative arts education.  The curriculum includes undergraduate and postgraduate degrees alongside a range of pre-degree college level courses and a wide ranging short course programme. 

As Marketing Communications Producer, you will be focused on engaging a range of audiences and raising the profile and reputation of the College.  Responsible for planning and delivering website and blog content, social media and PR, you will tell compelling stories about diverse and exciting creative activity at the College.  You will also use your excellent copy-writing skills and savvy marketing approach to produce effective marketing materials.


Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will be part of a busy team growing our student numbers in Higher Education and maintaining healthy recruitment in Further Education.  You will also take a lead role in internal communications within the college.

We are looking for a confident communicator to work with flair across a range of platforms from traditional press releases to innovative social media activation.  You will need excellent copy-writing, with a good eye for nuance and detail, and the ability to build strong rapport with contacts at all levels.  The right candidate will have solid professional experience in marketing communications , a passion for the arts and specialist arts education.

IT TECHNICAL DEMONSTRATOR

29.6 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only (42 weeks per year)
Salary £21,777 - £23,247 p.a. pro-rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Demonstrator with good IT and multimedia skills to join our small but busy team providing technical support and supervision in our IT workshops.  Flexibility in working hours would be advantageous.
 
You will be responsible for assisting academic staff during practical sessions, demonstrating the use of software applications, offering technical support to students and maintaining equipment.
 
You will need to be familiar with Mac & PC based networked computer systems and be proficient in working with a range of software packages including Adobe CC.  Good communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, along with the ability to work on your own initiative. 
 
A background or interest in the creative arts would beneficial.

Lecturer- BA (Hons) Textile Design (2 x posts)

0.4 – 0.6 FTE
£23,131 - £28,459 pro rata per annum

We have a mission to empower creativity and enrich our world through transformative arts education.  The curriculum includes undergraduate and postgraduate degrees alongside a range of pre-degree college level courses and a wide ranging short course programme. 

The College seeks to appoint two highly creative and committed individuals to join the Textile Design course team. The BA (Hons) degree explores a broad understanding of textiles through materials and processes, guiding our students toward exciting and diverse roles within the industry.

With a renewed focus on innovation, collaboration and making, the course is looking to recruit two team members with substantial professional experience in one or more of the specialist pathways offered within the course (e.g. printed textiles, woven textiles and multi – media textiles with integrated digital technologies). The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to developing the profile of the course and to delivering ambitious professional outcomes. 

It is also a requirement that candidates will be demonstrably excellent and innovative lecturers with experience of working within Higher Education and teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. The posts include the management, co-ordination and delivery of Textile Design modules on the course as well as supporting the enhancement of the student experience. A postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable, as is Fellowship of the HEA.

Invigilators

£8.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for Exam Invigilators to invigilate Functional Skills, GCSE & A-Level Examinations.

Invigilators work with College staff, students and other invigilators before, during and after examinations to ensure the smooth running of examinations in accordance with JCQ and  awarding body guidelines. Invigilators play a key role in upholding the integrity of the external examination/assessment process.

Invigilators may be asked to invigilate a whole class or invigilate on a one to one basis.

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; a confident and assertive manner and a very flexible approach to working hours.
Availability to work hours assigned to you on an ad-hoc basis throughout February, May and June is essential.

Previous experience within a Further Education or School environment would be advantageous, however is not essential.
