As Marketing Communications Manager, you will develop and implement an effective communications plan to raise the profile and reputation of HCA, including creative digital campaigns.  You will be focused on engaging a range of audiences including prospective students and influencers, and also lead internal communications.  Responsible for planning and delivering: email and social media campaigns, PR, and the website (a new website is in development); you will tell compelling stories about diverse and exciting creative activity at the College.  You will also use your excellent copy-writing skills and savvy marketing approach to produce effective marketing materials for use both on and offline.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will be part of a busy team supporting student recruitment at college and university level, managing a new Digital Marketing Executive.  You will also share your insights and experience more widely across the college, supporting academic staff to achieve recruitment outcomes with their own course-specific social media.
We are looking for a confident communicator to work with flair across a range of platforms from traditional press releases to innovative social media activation.  You will need expertise in digital marketing, excellent writing skills, and the ability to build strong rapport with contacts at all levels.  The right candidate will have solid professional experience in marketing communications (5+ years), together with a passion for the arts and specialist arts education.
You will need to be available to work 5 days a week in the office, however there may be some flexibility around daily hours.

£15,000 - £20,000 PER ANNUM


As Digital Marketing Executive you will create digital marketing content for social media, website, and email campaigns, that engage a range of audiences including prospective students and influencers.  You will need to be focused on using social media to achieve objectives.  You will be responsible for ensuring the website is kept up to date with engaging content.  You will monitor website and social analytics use insights to optimise activity for search, reach, and engagement.  You will also work with course staff on coordinating campaign activity across courses-specific social media accounts to facilitate cross-promotion.
Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you will be part of a busy team supporting student recruitment at college and university level.  As well as a digital focus on your role, you will be responsible for a range of marketing collaterals including posters, flyers, banners, merchandise etc., and produce weekly events and activities updates for internal staff.  You will be responsible for effectively managing the HCA photo library.  You will also assist the team in recruitment.
We are looking for an energetic, creative candidate with a tech-native approach to digital.  Ideally you will have the skills in photography and moving image to produce timely digital content (including short film clips and GIFs) for website and social media platforms, although with the right aptitude further training can be provided.  The role will present early-career candidates with a great opportunity to rapidly build experience in a dynamic, creative environment.

We are now looking to strengthen the Further Education expertise of our Board.
You’ll need to be committed to education, the arts and the College’s ethos: to collaborate with partners, promote and expand Hereford College of Arts in the community and wider afield, both regionally and nationally.   You must have a proven track record in Further Education leadership and be a strategic thinker.  
There are five Board meetings and at least three Committee meetings annually.  In addition to formal meetings there will be a range of other opportunities through the year to meet staff and students and deepen your knowledge of the College. 
This is a voluntary appointment; reasonable travel, subsistence and out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
