About the exhibition

Staged across two dedicated spaces in the Museum of Cider, the exhibition created an exciting dialogue between contemporary art and a building rooted in Hereford’s cultural and industrial history.

Featuring sculpture, textiles, painting, video, performance and installation, the exhibition reflected the breadth of approaches explored by the artists during their postgraduate study. Across a diverse collection of work, the exhibition gave visitors an opportunity to encounter emerging ideas, individual perspectives and ambitious contemporary creative practice.

Beth Lockett interview

I have just always wanted to spend some time developing as an artist and seeing where it will take me. Most of what I've done is painting - which I usually start by doing outside - but I have got a little bit of sculpture, and some prints.

The work brought together in Constellation reflects the ambition, generosity and individuality of this year’s MA Fine Art artists. The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate that journey and to share an exciting, thoughtful and diverse body of contemporary work with the public.
