Beth Lockett

I am a landscape artist exploring the geography in which I live. I wonder at the rhythms and layers of landscape; its contours echoed and disrupted by humans and by natural forces over unfathomable tracts of time.  This body of work comprising painting, printing and sculpture expresses what I feel to be a collaboration.

Through walking and drawing the fields, woods and river valley, I seek the imprint and dynamic of now-invisible energies.  I wish to narrate these vestiges of life and exuberance that are present in the non-human world around me.
