Constellation graphic expanded

Exhibiting as part of the 2026 MA Show - 'Constellation'

About this work:

Stitches to map the emotional terrain of change. Working across textiles and mixed media, I explore the relationship between landscape, memory and personal experience.

Through slow, repetitive processes, I create work that records both emotional and physical landscapes, reflecting on loss, uncertainty, belonging and transformation.

Themes explored in this project

  • Local landscape
  • Sense of belonging
  • Community
  • Reflecting loss
  • Uncertainty

About the artist

I am an Art & Textiles teacher living in South Shropshire.  I am fascinated by what my local landscape & community means to me and how it provides a sense of comfort and belonging. I regularly run local embroidery and slow stitching classes which provide safe places for often rurally isolated local people to come together with a shared interest to support their mental health and well-being.
