Helen has been practicing basket making for the past 10 years or so, coming to Hereford college of arts last autumn has already improved her skill set tenfold. The access to the workshops and knowledgeable staff means you can really fly with your ideas.

She loves to work with natural materials, but the course has allowed her to explore and experiment with other mediums making things happen that she never thought possible.

In the past most of her making has been materials lead or made as commissions for people so having the freedom to explore other methodologies has been really interesting.

Hoping to continue as maker developing her work for a wider audience and be able to make a living as a creative.
