Elley’s work always contains a people centric narrative.

Working mainly in textiles she looks for human interest and then waits to be ‘hooked’.

She then feels compelled to communicate her current obsession.

Elley is currently working on a series of hangings created around peoples hopes, fears and responses communicated to her about the covid19 epidemic.

Each hanging comprises 12 panels of appliqued, embroidered or painted textiles.
