I work predominately with hand stitch sometimes with screen printed images onto fabric.
During my masters I have been exploring the textile qualities I am discovering in Ceramics.
My starting point is always landscape, both real and imagined, taking photos and working with mixed media. I live in a beautiful area of Shropshire. It is natural for me to be inspired by my surroundings. This work has also a Japanese aesthetic, working with papers and fabrics: folding, pleating, ripping, and layering.
