Nicholas graduated from the BA (Hons) Illustration course at Hereford College of Arts in 2010, and has been been working in London professionally as an illustrator since. His agents are Folio Art, and he has created work for clients such as The New York Times, Bloomsbury, Blue Note Records, Wide Eyed Editions, The Radio Times, Jamie Magazine, The Scouts Association and Urban Outfitters.

He employs a fun and playful process which combines big brush strokes and handmade texture with bold digital colour and shapes. Nicholas best loves exploring ideas of silliness, magic, joy, shadow, mysticism, history, nature and mystery.

He returned to Herefordshire as a tutor on BA (Hons) Illustration in 2017, and enjoys delivering realistic briefs, experimental technical workshops, and keeping his eye on the future of illustration. Nicholas is also the co-founder of CMYK, a festival of Print and Illustration at Hereford College of Arts.
