At Leek College is where she was inspired by specialist teachers to explore a variety of disciplines and experiment with both traditional and modern techniques. This formative experience sparked her passion for materials and processes, encouraging her to embrace diverse creative approaches.
Continuing her education at Hereford College of Arts, Becky completed a BA (Hons) in Design Crafts. During this period, she refined her skills and explored the potential of materials, discovering innovative ways to express her ideas. Her current practice seamlessly combines digital design with tactile processes in 3D and textiles. Her work incorporates techniques such as screen printing, heat transfer, laser cutting, embossing, and casting, all culminating in intricate detailing achieved through etching or embroidery. Each creation reflects her deep connection to materials and her thoughtful design process.
In her role as a technical demonstrator, Becky works closely with students of all ages, guiding them through their creative journeys. She encourages exploration, experimentation, and growth, fostering an atmosphere of inspiration and learning.
