Linda recounted her journey into ceramics, and the impact of studying on her confidence to Paula Cocozza, Guardian journalist.

Linda has been studying a BA(Hons) Contemporary Craft degree at HCA, recently handing in her final piece earlier this month. Linda will be graduating with the class of 2025 later this year.  She will also be joining the rest of the School of Materials & Design on their trip to New Designers next week, to display her work among the country's leading arts graduates. 

However, her journey has been more than about the degree itself - after hardship and a confidence knock, Linda found that studying was the answer to getting back on her feet and showing the world what she was capable of.

There’s something about ceramics, the feel, the process. The fight with that material. I could see a path ahead which I never – never, never – thought I would attain. And I got a degree.
