Postgraduates Ren Garside and Mark Rogers received a fully funded residency at Hawkwood College, part of Earth Fire Iron celebrating pioneering artist blacksmith Alan Evans in Stroud.

Ren Garside and Mark Rogers, both postgraduate students on HCA’s Forged Metal Design MA course were the recipients of a xx day fully funded artist residency at Hawkwood College, Centre for Future Thinking, Stroud. Hawkwood College is an arts and educational charity providing courses, facilitating training dedicated to fostering creativity, community, and environmental sustainability; whose historic and expansive venue provides an ethical, tranquil and inspiring setting for personal and organisational growth. The Hawkwood College residency was part of Earth Fire Iron, a programme of events held in Stroud, Glos celebrating and commemorating pioneering artist blacksmith Alan Evans (see Earth Fire Iron overview, link here)
