Hereford College of Arts is seeking to appoint a number of skilled and motivated Short Course Tutors to support the continued growth of our short course provision. 

This role is well suited to creative industry professionals who wish to share their expertise in a flexible teaching capacity.

Short Course Tutors will deliver a range of in‑person sessions for adult learners and young people, including evening classes, school holiday workshops, and professional development training for local businesses. We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach small to medium‑sized groups in a manner that is clear, engaging, and supportive.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming learning environment. We are seeking individuals who are personable, approachable, and able to communicate with learners in a way that is both professional and engaging. While teaching styles may vary, applicants should be comfortable facilitating interactive sessions and fostering learner confidence.

We welcome applications from tutors with expertise in any creative discipline, and we are especially interested in candidates who can deliver courses in the following areas:

  • Creative Entrepreneurship & Freelancing
  • Digital Tools for Creative Professionals (Adobe Suite, Figma)
  • Creative Production & Digital Storytelling
  • Sustainable Design & Circular Making
  • Art History
  • Engaging Design for Online & Print
  • Video Content for Social Media
