Richard BranczikBA (Hons) Fine Art

The idea behind this piece, exhibited at 2020 Visions in February was to break up an existing image made in my first year at HCA into its constituent parts, to reprocess and reconfigure them, to give them a new sense of space in relationship with each other and to give them movement in depth.

It is constructed from plywood and dowel and painted with house emulsion paint.  The colours were taken from sampler pots.

The title is taken from one of Nietzsche’s aphorisms – I am not a man, I am dynamite – which is more interesting than my original one – The Exploding Man.  With regards to Nietzsche I make no other claim.
