Neglected but Still Home

My intent for this project was to show the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has affected a large city like Manchester and also on a smaller personal level how it has affected an average family. I used a combination of street and architectural photography combined with documentary photography to showcase this. The use of Manchester a city I have lived for most of my life and using my home and my family add a personal element, but it is also very easy for anyone to relate to during this time. The lack of people in my images I feel gives an uneasiness and offers an anxious feeling about the future, a feeling many people can relate to at this time. I opted to shoot as the sun was setting or on overcast days to play on the dark anxious vibes.
