My starting process for each new project is to find and photograph inspiration from my immediate surroundings.  Nature is my biggest inspiration and anything colourful that catches my eye.  I love to work with bright tones in unexpected combinations.

I initially respond to my photographs through drawing and will then move on and work with lots of different materials to create yarn windings – this helps me to define a strong colour palette.  Having recently discovered knit, I have enjoyed exploring colour through texture, and I enjoy mixing yarns and colours together in this way.
