Keith Temple, Course Leader BA (Hons) Short Film Making

The final year of study for short film making students gives them the independence and also the confidence to explore their specialist craft and to put into practice the skills they’ve learned over the previous two years. At the end of their time at HCA they produce a fifteen minute film for their showreel, a springboard to gaining a foothold on the industry career ladder. The students have yet to make their final films so here is a selection of their work from the past year. Amy Barry, as Director of Photography worked closely with the director on the short horror film Nightfall. Lina Cnaan directed a music video and wrote and directed an online infomercial about plastic pollution for a Hereford based company. Meg Parker wrote and directed a short film, a drama – You Should Call Your Mother. All the films display the range of interests and the talent of the students. We look forward to screening their final film projects later in the year: the best is yet to come!
