This piece “Cat in Lockdown” portrays one of the ways that those stuck inside are able to keep alert. Being observant and people watching from windows has become a form of entertainment and can serve as a substitute for social interactions with those outside of the house.

I am exploring this idea through black and white photography as this colour scheme creates a dramatic dynamic within the photo. This then presents the idea of longing for the outdoors, but not being able to engage with it.
