I am showing work from my most recent studio modules: Woven Textile Design with a theme of ‘chunky vs. subtle’ and Design Development with a theme of ‘controlled chaos’.

Although I have always enjoyed sewing, throughout my first year I have developed my skills in all aspects of the design process and other textiles processes including print, knit and weave.

I have been inspired throughout lockdown and, although at times finding it difficult, I feel I have created work using materials and techniques I never thought I would.  My starting point and inspirations are usually looking at other artists/designers, taking my own photographs and responding by drawing and mark-making.  I have developed my skills using Photoshop to create digital designs which helps get my ideas flowing and inspires other new samples too.
