The subject matter for my work is typically gastronomy and the natural world and I want my illustrations to be enjoyed by as large an audience as possible.

From an initial concept sketch, I move into more detailed drawings, experimenting with drastically different colour choices and framing. Each section of the illustration is then painted using acrylic paints before being scanned and edited. I complete the Illustrations using ‘Pro-create’.

I plan to investigate illustration for children, focussing on informative/educational texts relating to the classroom in non-fiction books. I hope to make learning more enjoyable and fun, encouraging youngsters to explore the world around them.
