Amanda Roland-Smith (L4)BA (Hons) Contemporary Design Crafts

Mandy’s work draws on a working life as an art therapist and psychotherapist working with loss and trauma. Her art is ideas and materials driven, sometimes about life’s dilemmas, identities, or the contradictions in our humanity. She loves that moment when her art takes on a life of its own and just needs her to make it. She loves colour and her work embodies her love of life and sometimes a sense of humour. Her chosen material is clay, but she also loves painting and print-making. She is not so keen on CAD.

At nearly 70 she has no career aspirations.
