Alison Griffin (L6)BA (Hons) Fine Art
The processes of making and communicating ideas are the most interesting elements of creating work for me.
Making art is a vehicle for enrichment and expression.
Mediums are dictated by subject and through exploration.
Although not displayed here, textiles and stitch feature frequently in my work, both as art form and as a means of creating a mental and physical space.
Recent work has incorporated monoprint: the immediacy and spontaneous chance element of which contrasts with the slow, more considered application of stitch.
